Rat Race Polo at Forth

Forth's boathouse became a stage on the Edinburgh Rat Race this weekend. The Rat Race is a two hour race around the city including various challenges along the way. We introduced over 300 people to canoe polo, many of whom had never been in a boat before.

On the Sunday we provided safety cover for the Rat Race 9 to 5, a full day of urban cycling and challenges. The challenge covered was to swim across Bonaly resevoir, and we guided 60 very exhausted participants across the water, pulling out the occational who found it too tiring.

In a separate event Forth also provided safety cover for the Scottish Open Swimming Championships on Loch Ore. The swimmers completed an arduous 5km course in cold loch waters, but 4 had to be pulled to safety by our canoes.
