Slalom and Sprint Coaching Module Courses
In the spring, the SCA is hosting a series of BCU discipline-specific modules for both Slalom and Sprint. These full-day modules are designed to provide coaches with the additional knowledge to deliver coaching in the disciplines and will be delivered at a subsidised rate to candidates thanks to Sportscotland funding.
The Slalom workshops will take place on 13th February (Inverness) and 14th February (Stirling Uni), with the Sprint modules taking place the following month on 13th March (Aberdeen Boat Club and 14th March (Low Port Centre, Linlithgow).
Sprint in 2009
Our sprint paddlers had a successful 2009 guided by our coach Kristina. At the Scottish champs we had 15 paddlers and took 7 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze medals. We had three paddlers at the British champs and came in 6th in K2 500m, 5th in K4 500m and 5th again in the K4 1000m.
Fitness sessions are ongoing over the winter, contact Kristina if you are interested. Lightning sessions will start again in the Spring.
