Kayak and Canadian Canoeing in Edinburgh
Forth Canoe Club is a volunteer run club for canoeing in Edinburgh. We are Scotland's oldest existing canoe club and are based on the Union Canal in the city centre. Our club includes everyone from world champion athletes to recreational day trippers, paddling kayak and canadian canoes of all styles. See the activities we do at Forth.
Polo captain Poppy has been selected to represent the UK at the polo international in Belgium next week. Good luck Poppy!
Thanks to all from Forth CC who helped with the canal festival last weekend, we gave over 100 people taster sessions in canoes and showed off the variety of paddling we do in the club with C1 and K1 sprint, OC1, SUP and a gunwale bobbing battle on display.
FCC competed at the first slalom to be held at Pinkston (run by member Stuart Pitt).
- Ross P (J14) competed in Div 3 on both the Saturday and Sunday events doing the club proud, clearly enjoying the course. His best run probably being on the Saturday.
- Catie competed at Div 3 on the Sunday at her first competion outside of Alva. Adjusting to the moving water well came 4th in the K1W just 0.3s behind a 3rd place.
- Lois also competed on the Sunday coming in at an excellent 3rd place (also the fastest run of her class) in the Div 2 K1W.
